Our Workshop is Back in Action
Over the past while, many of you have asked us when the workshop would be back to full capacity. Well the wait is over we’re delighted to say, with the arrival of Rogier Eleveld, our new Senior Bike Mechanic. The doors to a fully operational workshop is now wide open once again.
Rogier brings with him more than 30 years of experience in bike shops and workshops across Europe. Over the decades he’s worked on everything from delicate race bikes to trusty everyday commuters, family bikes, e-bikes and hardy touring rigs. Rogier has built wheels, rebuilt drivetrains, tuned gears, and solved just about every squeak, rattle, and riddle a bike can throw at a mechanic.
What really stands out is his passion for bikes and for people who ride them. He loves sharing his knowledge, helping riders get the most from their bikes, and making sure every customer leaves with a machine that feels safe, smooth, and ready for adventure.
So, whether it’s a quick service, a long-overdue overhaul, or simply some expert advice, Rogier is here to keep you rolling. We’re thrilled to have him on the team, and we know you’ll enjoy meeting him too.
End-of-Season Preloved Bike Sale
It wouldn’t be autumn at Clifden Bike Shop without our preloved fleet sale – and this year’s selection is better than ever.
Trek FX 2 Hybrid Bikes – these lightweight, reliable hybrids have been the backbone of our rental fleet, and now they’re looking for new homes. They’re available for €599 (down from €869 when new). Each bike will be fully serviced by Rogier and the workshop team, and comes with the Clifden Bike Shop assurance of quality. A fantastic option for everyday cycling, commuting, or exploring Connemara’s backroads.
Ex-Rental E-Bikes – also heading into the sale after the season wraps up. Each e-bike will be serviced and sold with a warranty, offering both great value and peace of mind.
Buying one of our preloved bikes is a brilliant way to pick up a quality ride that’s been carefully looked after, and now with Rogier’s touch, they’ll be in better shape than ever.
