Festival and Events in Connemara on the Wild Atlantic Way.

In Connemara we love a good shindig, a party, a gathering, any old excuse to laugh. Our year long calendar is filled with festivals and events that celebrate the arts, fitness, food, music, language and all that goes with living in one of the most beautiful and cultural places in Ireland. The big annual events such as The award winning Clifden Community Arts Festival held in September, The Connemara Pony Show in August, The Connemarathon in April, and the sellout cycle of over 2,000 cyclists the Tour De Connemara in May, all these fantastic events have become favourite annual pilgrimages for many year after year.

Discover the many smaller events and festivals which take place in villages across the Peninsula such as the traditional Hooker and curragh Regattas, The Connemara Pony Shows on nearly every Sunday in July, Local Village Festivals like the Cleggan Fringe festival brining fantastic bands to these intimate venues in the village, Walking Festivals in Inishbofin and Leenane and Carna. In traditional and contemporary Music Festivals throughout the year there is  the Clifden Trad Festival in April and the Clifden Summer festival in June  there truly is something for everyone.
